FAQ - academic activities suspension

Is UniBg open?

Academic activities (lessons, exams, conferences and seminars, study rooms, office hours) are suspended until april 15th.

Starting from march 16th all campuses stay closed, except Caniana and Salvecchio, until further notice.
We invite you all not to access to campus, in compliance with DPCM 11/03/2020.

Should I go to university?

Campuses are closed, most activities are suspended or carried out remotely. We invite you not to visit the campuses.

Is Students' Services Office open?

No, it's suspended. Please contact the office via ticket (further information here).

Are Print services open?

Print service are closed. 
Please send an email to stampa.unibg@alba2011.com and attach the file/files to print.
Call 035 20525555, 335456684 or 3351378452 for further information about withdrawal and timing.

Are canteens open?

Until further notice: all canteens are closed and the meals delivery to residence at via Garibaldi di Bergamo is suspended.

Are libraries open?

Libraries are closed, even for loan and return functions.

Are study rooms open?

Study rooms are closed, for it's strongly discouraged to visit crowded spaces.

I have to graduate: what is going to happen?

Following the decreto legge 17 marzo 2020, n. 18, art. 101, the graduation session will be extended to June 15th, 2020.

Bachelor Degrees:

All the discussions of the final papers foreseen for bachelors of Dipartimenti di Giurisprudenza; Lettere, Filosofia, Comunicazione; Lingue, Letterature e Culture Straniere; Scienze Umane e Sociali will be canceled.

Evaluations will be carried out by a specially appointed Commission of teachers who will formulate scores on the judgment criteria already defined by the individual study courses.

Single cycle master and master degrees:

Graduates can choose two different options:

  • the remote discussion, during the extraordinary session in March and April;
  • discussion of the thesis according to methods that will be communicated in May, and in any case the discussion will take place within June 15th 2020.

Single cycle master and master degrees graduates can communicate their choice by filling in this form.

The form must be completed by March 27th 2020, logging in through your "student.unibg.it" account.

Remote thesis dissertation

Those who have to graduate on march 2020 will be asked to participate remotely, following specific instructions that every candidate will receive. 
Remote thesis dissertation will require dedicated tools (Skype or Google Meet) to let the candidates present and discuss withous being physically present. 

Exams in march 2020

We established the procedures for the performance of profit exams in oral form which will be scheduled throughout the spring session; on the contrary, written exams will not be scheduled: it will be at the teacher's discretion to rearrange the exams in oral form, otherwise they will be rescheduled.

Oral exams will be held remotely, and in ways that ensure the public character of the sessions, the correct identification of the candidate, the verification of objectives achievement and the participants' proper audio perception.

Taxes: should I pay?

All students who conclude their study course in this session and do not continue with a master's degree are exempt from paying tassa regionale and contributo onnicomprensivo for enrollment in the academic year 2019-2020.

The deadline for the payment of the second installment of fees - for all students who have to pay a second installment - is postponed to 30 May 2020.

Internships: what to do

EXTRA-CURRICULAR TRAINEESHIPS:

  • If you are working in Smartworking, send an email to placement@unibg.it, stating that the tutoring activity continues even at a distance.
    In this case, you will receive the monthly allowance normally.
  • In case you are not in Smartworking and you stay at home, do not request the "suspension" online in the Sportello Internet, but, when the internship is about to expire, request the extension online.

CURRICULAR INTERNSHIPS

For current curricular internships, expecially if close to the deadline, you can request an online extension for the maximum time available, i.e. 6 months, at least one week before the end of the internship date entered on the training project. This step will allow us to extend insurance coverage. For information write to tirocini@unibg.it
