Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) 2024 Call "Young Researchers" 2024: direct call for Research positions at University of Bergamo for MSCA PF grantees and MSCA SoE award winners

The MUR Call "Public notice for the submission of project proposals by young researchers" (https://www.gea.mur.gov.it/Bandi/YoungResearchers2024 ) has been published, for the submission of project proposals by young researchers for direct appointments in Italian universities and research centers within the framework of PNRR - Mission 4 "Education and Research" - Component 2 "From Research to Business" - Investment 1.2 "Funding of projects presented by young researchers."

The call finances the direct call to RTD of 250 young researchers who have won completed MSCA PF projects or have obtained the Seal of Excellence

The call includes two measures aimed at:

  1. Winners of calls related to Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Individual Actions, funding for a Principal Investigator (PI) who have completed their project no more than 60 months from the date of publication of this notice (07/03/2024) and who submit:
    a new project proposal, complementary and consequential to the funded MSCA project (MUR contribution max per project €300,000) Deadline for submission: October 1, 2024
  2. Recipients of the Seal of Excellence (SoE) within 24 months prior to the date of publication of this notice (07/03/2024), who submit:
    a revised and restructured version of the project awarded the SoE (MUR contribution max per project €250,000) On a rolling basis - final submission date December 19, 2024.

Candidates up to 40 years of age or up to 45 years of age (provided they have obtained their PhD no more than 7 years ago) are eligible, with a contractual arrangement as RTD at UniBg.

Eligible researchers must meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Need to gain first experience as a fund and/or research activity manager
  • Need to gain experience in leadership and management of a national and/or international research team
  • Do not currently hold, or have not held before winning the European grant, a Full Time Equivalent (FTE) permanent contract as a researcher and/or tenured professor
