Long-distance learning

CIS (Italian courses for foreigners) section offers the possibility of on-line language training with activities to develop and support listening, reading and writing skills, plus some grammar activities, constantly monitored by a tutor.

This path can be followed in combination with general or intensive courses, or combined with individual lessons either in person or via webcam: please refer to the didactic activities section, in particular documents on course dates and costs.

  • PASE, Percorso di Accoglienza per Studenti Erasmus (welcome path for Erasmus students):

an Italian language development and consolidation path aimed at foreign students arriving in the University of Bergamo. The path includes activities to develop and consolidate reading, grammar, writing, with sections dedicated to tests, plus orientation indications for University of Bergamo and towards the development of University studying. 

The project offers different kinds of activity:

  • to develop Italian language (self-assessment test, written comprehension, writing and grammar activities)
  • to introduce Erasmus students to Italian University life and develop their studying skills (activities based on Italian University system, courses and lessons, on the international office and on the University library).

​​​​This online path can be combined with personal attendance courses in the CIS section, and offers both self-teaching activities for Italian language consolidation and group activities (such as forums and blogs) in which its possible to debate Italian language and culture topics, pose questions about the Italian language, submit written exercises and ask for them to be corrected by a tutor.

  • Marco Polo, Percorso di accoglienza per studenti cinesi (welcome path for Chinese students):

an Italian language development and consolidation path aimed at Chinese students arriving in the University of Bergamo. The path includes activities to develop and consolidate reading, grammar, writing, pronunciation and spelling, with sections dedicated to tests, plus orientation indications for the University of Bergamo and towards the development of University studying 

The goal is to reach levels B1/B2, as will be indicated in an end of course certificate.

All Chinese students taking part in the Marco Polo / Turandot program can attend this course, no matter which University they are enrolled in for their degree course. The end of course certificate indicating the reached level can be presented in all Universities.

 

  • AZIMUT: an Italian language development and consolidation path aimed at Arabic speaking students in Italy or abroad. The path includes activities to develop and consolidate listening, reading, grammar, writing, pronunciation and spelling, together with and exploration of some Italian cultural aspects. A test version is available (please insert the following data: username = guest - password = guest).

Activities are divided in two main areas:

  • Activities to consolidate and develop Italian language (self-assessment tests, listening, reading, writing and grammar activities)
  • Activities to consolidate and develop communication skills useful for moving in Italian society (the working world and immigration, students’ social conditions, leisure time and travelling).

Azimut is aimed at students with elementary or intermediate Italian language skills:

  • Arabic speaking freshmen at University of Bergamo
  • Italian language students and workers in public bodies, companies and organizations, following agreement with the CIS section.

  • Italian language students at Université Ibnou Zohr in Agadir (Morocco)

  • Confindustria (Association of Industrial Entrepreneurs) – Entry Test for foreign workers (company password is mandatory to access).

  • Confindustria – working in an Italian business: a path dedicated to foreigners working in Italian companies, providing basic information on the Italian work system and practical exercises to improve their Italian language skills (login and password are necessary to access).

  • CULT.IT: Italian culture blended program for foreign students. It is organized into thematic paths, based on proficiency levels, focusing on aspects of modern and contemporary Italian culture, from an anthropological point of view (login e password are necessary to access).

  • Welcome path for Visiting Professors: a path intended to develop the Italian language and orientate within the University of Bergamo, exclusively aimed at foreign visiting professors. The path is divided into three sections: services, territory and University, with practical activities showing how to interact in the most common daily life situations and illustrating the University of Bergamo and its environment (login and password are necessary to access).

 

 
 
 
Individual Lessons

Individual lessons area also available on request (in person or remotely, via webcam or chat) in which it will be possible to focus on specific needs, such as special topics or skills, weaknesses, specific language uses etc.
