PhD Overview

The PhD Program in Human Capital Formation and Labour Market Relations makes reference to the Advanced Doctoral Formation School at the University of Bergamo and it is promoted by a collaboration with ADAPT (Association for International and Comparative Studies in the field of labour law and industrial relations) and Fondazione ADAPT, in order to study the conditions, the issues and the competences required by the new and great transformation of work, started by the globalization and the progress of the new communication and production technologies. In particular, the PhD Program is meant to focus on the qualifying factors of Industry 4.0's processes, with a specific reference to professional competences, welfare systems and industrial relations, as well as their impact on the educational and training system and on the dynamics of labour market, through an interdisciplinary research perspective.

The PhD Program is aimed at preparing young researchers able to work with a high interdisciplinary professionality (from the pedagogical, psychological, sociological, geographical and technical-juridical points of view), both in the academic world and in the enterprises and services with an high level of innovation (with particular reference to the Industry 4.0' processes).
