University of Bergamo Sports Center

CUS is the University of Bergamo's sports center, dedicated to promoting sports and physical activity not only for students and the University's teaching and administrative staff, but also for the entire Bergamo community.

CUS views the health and well-being benefits of sports and physical activity as a means of supporting the maintenance of a mind-body balance, which can foster continuous improvement of living, studying, and working environments.

The university sports facilities are located in Dalmine, at Via Verdi 56, on the Engineering Campus, and cover an area of 13,000 square meters, 5,500 of which are indoors.

Facilities and activities
  • Two 900 m² team sports halls, each of which can be divided into four training rooms;
  • a 550 m² weights/fitness gym with 90 workout stations;
  • two 200 m² training rooms;
  • a 200-meter covered and lit outdoor training track;
  • a doctor's office;
  • two saunas and two Turkish baths;
  • six changing rooms with 60 showers;
  • internal parking for cars and covered parking for bicycles and motorcycles.

The CUS Fitness Center offers basic physical training, with a gym equipped with 90 stations (cardio, isotonic, free weights, and abdominal exercises), as well as two class rooms hosting more than 30 different fitness classes.

Dual Career - University Program for Student-Athletes

The center is fully accessible to people with disabilities, free of any architectural barriers.

It is completely fully heated through the district heating and is equipped with a 100 kWp photovoltaic system and a 20 kWe micro-cogeneration system, with an A1 energy classification.
