Summer Business Program (Missouri)

The Department of Management, Economics and Quantitative Methods, in partnership with the University of Missouri - Columbia (CO, USA), organizes English language courses as part of the Summer Business Program.

Each university organizes 3/4 courses held by own lecturers. All the courses take place approximately between mid-May and mid-June at the location in via dei Caniana.

60/80 students from the University of Missouri - Columbia spend their last sub-period at the University of Bergamo.

The University of Bergamo in turn selects 60/80 own students based on the subscriptions received; this allows to form 6/8 classes of 40 students each (20 American students and 20 Unibg and Erasmus students).

Eligibility criteria

Courses are only open to 2nd, 3rd-year students and to students who have not completed their exams within the set time period, on equal terms, enrolled in 1st-level degree courses of the Department of Management, Economics and Quantitative Methods of the University of Bergamo and to foreign Erasmus students on mobility in this Department;

Subject to availability, students will have to choose two out of all the courses held according to the following criterion:

  • one course among those held by lecturers of the University of Bergamo;

  • one course among those held by lecturers of the University of Missouri.

As classes are formed so as to have the same number of students, it might not be possible to meet each student’s requests: for this reason, in the application form all students are required to specify an order of priority for the various courses held.

The maximum number of students of the University of Bergamo for each course is 20; a fair knowledge of English is required. To this purpose, the University may arrange an interview and/or a language test to ascertain the student’s level of knowledge.

Any interested students must submit their application replying to the call for participation that will be published approximately between November/January each academic year.
