The University of Bergamo aims at promoting and supporting the process of internationalization favoring incoming mobility of scholars from university and research institutions abroad. The present call is aimed to financing at least 10 grants for visiting professors. This call for applications is intended for scholars who, in their university institutions abroad, fill positions equivalent to those of Full Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor existing in Italian universities.
The beneficiary visiting professor during their stay will be engaged in the following activities:

Visiting Professors shall be paid the amount of 5.000 € per month:
The amount is gross and includes all expenses.
The grant will be paid in two instalments: 50% upon signature of the contract and the balance at the end of activities, upon submission of the final report.
The University of Bergamo shall provide Visiting Professors with a fully equipped room for study and research on the relevant Department premises, free access to libraries, laboratories, and access to the university canteen.
Non-EU resident beneficiaries should apply for a research Visa and a residence permit according to Italian Law in order to sign the contract.
Applications are assessed by a Selection Board that includes the Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Research of the University of Bergamo and the Heads of Department.
Assessment is carried out according to the following criteria:
• applicant's CV: evidence of research experience ensuing from published papers
assessed on the grounds of international criteria (up to 60 points);
• research activities and expected results (up to 20 points);
• research activities to be carried out during visiting period (up to 20 points).
