Teachers mobility

The Erasmus+ Community Program allows lecturers to arrange a period of teaching activity in a foreign Higher education institute that already has a bilateral agreement with the University of Bergamo. Furthermore, it allows to host experts from foreign organizations for teaching activities.
Lecturers and experts on mobility programs will be recognized their period of teaching abroad.

Eligibility criteria

The program is open to Higher education institutes staff in possession of a European Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and staff from organizations based in one of the involved countries. In particular, the teaching staff entitled to join the program include:

  • full professors;

  • associate professors;

  • visiting professors;

  • researchers;

  • experts from foreign organizations.

When starting the mobility period, the lecturer will have to be in possession of a contract with the University of Bergamo, while the teaching staff from foreign organizations will have to be proved to work at the employing organization.

Term
Minimum: 2 days and 8 teaching hours. Maximum: 2 months.

Community participation
Travel and accommodation costs will be covered (board, lodging and local transports). The travel amount is calculated based on scales of unit costs by distance bracket. The amount for the accommodation is calculated considering the country of destination.

Disabled lecturers will receive additional specific community grants.

Application
Taking into account the deadlines established by the Erasmus+ National Agency, lecturers’ applications will have to be submitted to the International Program Office during Spring the previous academic year. Before the departure the lecturer will have to define the teaching program.

The University of Bergamo will contact experts from foreign organizations upon invitation.

Before the departure
Before departing the lecturer will have to define the teaching or training program. The relevant document will be sent by email to the concerned lecturers.

When you get back
At the end of the period of mobility the lecturer will have to obtain a certificate of presence specifying lessons held, days of presence and total hours of teaching. Lecturers involved in training activities will also have to obtain a certificate of attendance to the training course specifying days, hours and subjects taken.

Staff mobility

The University of Bergamo, through the grants offered by the Erasmus+ Program, also promotes the mobility of technical-administrative staff, which may this way enjoy a period of training abroad at a Higher education institute.

Eligibility criteria

The interested staff must read the list of universities of destination and get in touch with the foreign institute at which they intend to spend their training period.
To obtain the grant they must present a work plan previously agreed with the University of Bergamo and the host institute. The work plan must be drafted according to the template proposed in the application.

Term

Minimum: 2 working days. Maximum: 2 months. Additionally, a 2-day round trip must be considered.

Community participation

The University will finance up to maximum 5 days of mobility (3/4 of the activity plus ½ round trip) independently of the mobility period’s length.

Application 

Applicants must submit the application for participation (form attached to the call) duly signed also by their reference person. Besides the application, whose format may be downloaded as attachment to this call, duly signed by the applicant and, as authorization, by the reference person, applicants must include:

  • CV, with details about previous mobility experiences, if any;

  • Letter of motivation for choosing a mobility experience at the selected institute, also specifying details about the institute, the proposed work plan and the period during which they intend to be on mobility;

If available, the letter of admission of the host institute.

The application completed in in all its parts, with indication of one destination and with the work plan, must be submitted to the International Program Office within the deadline established by the call.
